A THOUGHT FOR NOW - HAPPINESS CAN BE ACHIEVED BY MAKING OTHERS HAPPY.

And so there are times when we might struggle to find or experience happiness, probably because we tend to perceive it in a direct fashion, like eating the food or having possession of the object of our desire, instead of giving them to others who are in greater need . Like us having a bigger car or house, instead of sufficing with smaller ones, and helping others without to acquire theirs, or having some essential needs met. Like the elites and middle classes being willing to accept more lowering of their lifestyle, while enabling the unemployed and the poor and poorer classes to improve theirs.

And so are we at times led by our illusory goals for achieving what we perceive to be the embodiedment of happiness, without any real likelihood of achieving, but for which we spend much of our time, our living chasing, but never catching, because it is like our shadows.

When helping and making other happy would also have made us happy, had we not been so preoccupied with our tunnel vision quest for happiness. Even if in the belief that, after we have achieved our happiness, we might or would spread some of it around, to make others happy as well. Like the Gates have done, like the Buffetts and others have done, to their credit. And yet, how much better would it be or have been, if only we would endeavour to achieve and enjoy happiness together?

In endeavouring to achieve happiness, first try to define it, and remember that, being human, your definition of happiness should be achievable. Try, also, to avoid the need to have to exploit your fellow humans in order to achieve it; however much you intend to spread the fruits of your happiness around, after you have achieved it.
