A THOUGHT FOR NOW - PRESIDENT ELECT TRUMP, AND THE NEED FOR CALM CONTEMPLATION. PART.2

Will President Trump's American vision be as turbulent as he and others are painting it, or will it be..

So, as has now become the norm, the pollsters and their polls are no longer worth even the price of the graphs on which they are displayed. Their unreliability when taken at face value has now become legend. Unless you invert their prediction, by reading the 'predicted winner as the likely loser', political opinion polls have now become a paradoxical weapon in politics.

I would not be surprised it these polls and their predictions are not being deliberately used by the parties' strategists as a weapon against their challengers. The subliminal message seems to be that of, on the one hand, giving the 'predicted winner' as sense of false security, resulting in their supporters not turning out, as 'they are already going to win. And, on the other hand, tell the opposition supporters that they did better go out and vote, or else the 'predicted winner' will, indeed, win.

The post election post mortem is already being carried out, and, as was the case during the election, there is a tremendous amount of frenzy taking place. As was expected, the financial markets are being adversely affected by the uncertainty surrounding the pending Trump Presidency, which is not due to begin until his inauguration on January 20 2017.

Or, steady as it goes, mates?

Business, as they say, needs stability and an environment which is conducive to its promotion. As a businessman, Donald Trump will be only too aware of it. The initial reaction to his election, however, is, for obvious reasons, one of great uncertainty.

As for the political reverberations in the Democratic Party, well, its strategists will certainly be looking as what when wrong. Why did more Americans vote, within the constraints of the American electoral system, for Donald Trump, the 'new Great Hope', instead of the known, but 'same old, 'same old' Hillary Clinton?

Of course, in understanding how the Democrats suffered such an astonishing debacle, we have to first ask ourselves, or, more relevantly, the Democratic Party establishment, why did they choose Hillary Clinton, with all her known despised baggage, to become the Democratic Party's presidential nominee?

Like Britain's Brexit, does President Trump's America intends to go its own way, and have the best of all worlds'?

Was it the belief that, with Obama having being given the opportunity to run and win the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections, it 'was now Hillary's turn', despite the fact that it was know that she would be a very divisive choice?.

If so, why the Democratic Party's grandees made the choice of the Party's presidential nominee, based on personal loyalties and patronage, instead of choosing a candidate who would have imbued the presidential campaign with the something fresh and new; as Obama provided it with in his two campaigns?

Yes, if the Democrats had someone else, say, Bernie Sanders, it might have been 'Bernie, Bernie, all the way.' Instead, the failed strategy of the party's grandees and strategists, have resulted in the electorate effectively saying, 'Clinton, Clinton, no way.'  It is therefore a very straightforward post mortem for the Democratic Party elders; they choose and backed the wrong candidate and left Bernie Sanders out in the cold.

Trump Presidency; to give an helping hand to the ordinary guys?

The electorate decided that they wanted to try someone new; anyone.

In responding to Donald Trump's pending presidency, it might be beneficial for people to take some time to have some calm reflection on what has happened, why has it happened, what impact it will or could have on what, and contemplate on how to best manage or prevent the negative impacts.

This would be advisable for both the ordinary person and national and international leaders.

Whatever changes Donald Trump's presidency or presidencies will give rise to, will, like those before his, endure but for a limited time, before the ripples subside and a new tide of change reconfigures the human landscape on which we endeavour to live our lives.

In the meantime, the Sun will still rise and set for the living, the elites will continue to enjoy 'the good life', and the poor will continue to try to eek out an existence. This is how it has been for ages, and how it is likely to continue to be for sometime yet. Whoever is the President of the United States of America.

In endeavouring to achieve happiness in your living, remember that much of most of it is dependent on you, and not on others. Endeavour to be the master of your own fate, where it is given to you to influence it.

Trump America is getting ready for a new expedition to make America great again.
