AN IMAGINARY CONVERSATION WITH GOD. THE END!

This is a continuation of Taku2u's imaginary conversation with God. In having this conversation, Taku2u is working on the premis that, like a father or mother to their children, God would not object to his children - based on the proposition of the creationists - having an frank and honest conversation with him/her/deity.

Afterall, G, wars are oftentimes started by the people’s leaders, with them, the ordinary people, having little option to fight, as their leaders forced them to do so, or the wars encroach upon their  living.

Similarly, to contend that this is all the consequence of humans opting to exercise their ‘free will’ and declare their freedom or independence from their gods, does not satisfactorily address the issue of the basic ‘injustice’ of requiring, as it were, the children or descendants of Adam and Eve to have to pay the deadly cost of A & E’s declaration of independence from their god.

G.: Look, T. Do you think that I feel proud of daily and continuously watching people killing and inflicting terrible suffering on each other as a result of the violence which seems to have become second nature to humans?

No, I do not feel proud or happy about it. I feel even worse when humans use my name to fight their pointless wars, declaring that they are fighting my cause. Why would I, if I am the god of all people, if they are all the ‘children of god’, by virtue of the argument of the creationists, want to see them destroyed and their living made a misery? Why?

The Scribes might well describe me as ‘a vengeful god’, but, T, believe me, I am no vengeful god. How could I, a god, enter in or condone my people making war amongst themselves? How could an all powerful god debases himself so much, to put his own people, puny humans, to the sword of death and devastation? No, T. That is not me. I am not a sadist or the god of sadism.

I have not intervened to prevent or to stop humans fighting wars, because, although I do have the inclination to do, I do not have the power to stop humans killing themselves and destroying their habitat. This is probably something I do share with humans, who clearly do not seem to have either the inclination or the power to stop killing and destroying themselves.

As I said, it would appear that this has become second nature to them.
And there you have it, T, it is no mystery or enigma or any intention I have to punish humans, as to why I do not intervene; it is just that I do not have the power to do.

T.: So, G, it really is as simple as that? Well, to be honest, I am not surprised, and neither should any logical and reason person be surprised either. Afterall, just as how no self-respecting and compassionate humans would, having been in a position to help prevent or stop a terrible fate befalling people, at little or no cost to him/her, fail to intervene, neither would one expect a benevolent god not to do so as well. From this, we might also extrapolate that, G, neither do you have the power to intervene to prevent ‘natural disasters’ or those generated by the myopic activities of humans.

My profound appreciation for you taking the time to have this imaginary conversation with me, G. I thank you.
