IS PRESIDENT TRUMP AT RISK OF 'MAAFSING' AMERICA (MAKING IT A FAILED STATE)? PART 2

So with immigration. The Trumpist Administration intends, not only to 'make America great again', to to preach the doctrine of 'America for Americans only', AFAO, if you like. And so must the His regime, if it is to live upto its stated doctrine, remove from America the millions of undocumented and illegal and quasi-legal immigrants.

 It is politically and doctrinally expedient for Donald Trump to characterise these 'aliens' as criminals, when, probably for most of them, their only crime might be the fact that they are in the country illegally. Which means that, technically, the catagorisation will apply to some, if you are willing to forgo the fact that, you are normally designated as being innocent of a crime, until you are proven guilty of it.

Allied to this massive immigration challenge, to the success of the Trumpist doctrine, is that of building the 'Infamous American-Mexican Wall', to keep out the aspiring South Americans, who yearn to move to the north, in search of the reversed 'El dorado dream.' Not only would the building of this wall project help to keep the South American golden life seekers out, but it would also create some of infrastructural jobs for some of the unemployed whom President Trump promised to find employment for.

Then there is the environmental risk of the Trump presidency. If he is to live up to his promises, he could lay waste to more of America, as he prioritises job creation and profits over the preservation of a healthier living environment. In his quest to 'make America great again', he could remove some of inconvenient but  necessary checks and balances which are being used to restrict the economic activities which are damaging the country's ecological environment and the lives of local people. This could see him unleashing the coal mining, the fracking, and the shale gas companies to go about their business with little or less regulatory oversight. 

Of course, if President Trump were to let the proverbial 'pigs loose', in this case, we could see more of America's green and beautiful land being turned into man-made oil, shale, and chemical swamps. There would, as it were, more risk of America having more of the man-made environmental disasters which we have seen in countries such as Nigeria, and South and Central America, where companies are able use or produce toxic products with comparative impunity, and the active assistance of government officials.

 Then there is the equally toxic issue of how President Trump and his disciples will address the matter of the institutionally racist and oppressive American Judiciary. As well as improving the relationship between American of different ethnic and religious backgrounds, the 'pro-lifers and the 'pro-choicers' in respect of women's rights, and rolling back the virulent Islamophobia which is taking hold in America. 


Clearly not a challenge for Rudy Giuliani. Something which he needs to do successfully, if he is to 'make America great again', since it is Americans who have to personify 'America's greatness.' He will have to effectively meet the challenge of making the American criminal justice system work, and work fairly, and efficiently, in dispensing justice to the victim, perpetrator and public. 

He cannot do so without undertaking some profound reorganisation of the criminal justice system and the judiciary. Neither can he successfully improve either systems, without  initiating major projects to alleviate the lives of Americans living in absolute and relative poverty. And this, you cannot do, without paying attention to their need for affordable healthcare and housing and jobs.

Diplomacy ought to be the process by which nations, through their governments, establish and maintain mutually beneficial and peaceful relationships between them; Diplomacy is not, like the Gulf Cooperation Council members and their allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE states, trying to bully and intimidate Qatar into doing their bidding, by surrendering its sovereignty.  Neither is diplomacy what the American government is doing, in using sanctions to force the governments of states of Iran, Russia and North Korea, into complying with its demands.  About what action they should or should not take in pursuing what they consider to be in the interest of their countries and people.  No, none of this is diplomacy. Rather it is method of force and compulsion, which is not synonymous with principle or practice of diplomacy.  Which is about the art of establishing and maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial relationships between different countries.
