A THOUGHT FOR NOW - BORIS JOHNSON, THE POLITICIAN REPRIMANDED FOR TELLING THE TRUTH!

Boris Johnson, the British Foreign Minister, has been described by some as a 'colourful man', and, by others, as 'a buffoon.' Of course, Boris Johnson might well be neither. Let us just say that he is a character and a rather unique person.

It was only a few days ago, when Mr Johnson was telling the media how the destructive and murderous bombing of Yemenis and Yemen by the Saudi Arabian coalition forces had not yet met the criteria for constituting human rights violation. Yet, here we now have the same Boris Johnson, the British Foreign Minister, being disowned, pushed out on 'the plank' of HMS Great Britain, and invited to jump into the cold and uninviting English Channel. By none other than her Majesty's Government.

So, what is it that Foreign Minister Johnson has done that has so outraged the government whose's interests he should be representing? What unspeakable and detestable offence can he have done, which could have warranted him being so publicly convicted, condemned and subjected to immediate 'justice.?

Might this have some relation to the substance matter of the Japanese billionaire who has offered to invest $50 billion  in the United States, to create 50,000 jobs, all in the USA and none in Japan?

Could it have something to do with money and jobs and countries economies, and nought with morality and justice?

Well, yes. Minister Johnson has been convicted and sentenced by his government for telling the truth. For having declared how Saudi Arabia and Iran - doubtlessly for good measure and in order to 'create balance and even handedness' - are 'puppeteers' in manipulating people and events in the Middle East. Including, I suspect, the war in Yemen, and the internecine war between different strands of Islam.

Mr Johnson has decried how both key players, doubtlessly amongst others, are failing to provide Islam and the region with better leadership, which could only be to the advantage of all the people in the region, and the world.

For speaking frankly and honestly, Mr Johnson has been judged by his government to be endangering Britain's economic and diplomatic relations with the rulers of Saudi Arabia. This has terrified the government of Theresa May, which now fears that the Saudis, not having to power to decree that Minister Johnson's head should be removed from his shoulders, which they would probably love to do, but might not say so publicly, might cancel their massive arms contracts with the British.

Thus is the swiftness and brutal nature of the British government's reaction, which saw it declaring that Minister Johnson was 'speaking for himself and not for the British government.' Yes, it was as brutal and unequivocal as the Saudi's bombing of Yemen, with British and American arms.

What Boris Johnson has said about the Saudi Regime is what many if not most influential politicians in American and Europe think and say, in private, if not publicly. But Boris, being the kind of person he is, has declared 'child-like' honesty, in declaring publicly that the Saudi Regime is morally and socially naked, even though it has convinced itself that it is wearing clothes of great splendour.

Minister Johnson is now in an untenable position, because, henceforth, whenever he says something or comment on anything, he could be challenged with the refrain - 'Mr Johnson, are you speaking for yourself or on behalf of the British Government, and, if it is the latter, does it mean that we will have to wait until the government's spokesperson or the Prime Minister authorises what you are saying?'

In living your life and endeavouring to achieve happiness and pleasure, try and avoid situations where you are required to repress or redirect  your own moral principles, in order to be able to serve your current masters; especially when it is clearly not in the interest of the greater good, and you could walk away from the situation.
