Oh, Madam, I am greatly perplexed by the high level of duplicity and machiavellianism within which our foreign policies are packaged.  

Indeed, Madam, might this not have something to do with how 'the privileged few' maintain their 'good fortune'?

Boris, please get a bloody hold of yourself.  Stop being guided your grand moral prerogatives, and allow Britain's self-interests to be your guiding principle, with the finest of British arms being your shield and sword. 

It is the  militarily weak, but morally strong who takes comfort in moral arguments. While lacking the might of the powerful, for whom might is right, and the acquisition of their national selfish interests takes priority over everything else, including ethics and morality.

So, Madam, where does this leaves the Saudi and the Iranian and the Sunni and Shia 'puppets' whom they, and, to be fair, Madam, we Europeans and Americans, are having dancing to our 
'puppeteering' ?

I repeat, Boris. I am not the architect of the policies which I am expected to continue to implement. You might even say, Boris, that, like the Sunni and Shia 'puppets' who are being manipulated by the Saudis, the Iranians and the West, I am also being manipulated or 'puppetted by 'higher forces.'

Then, Madam, all that is left for me to conclude, is that, god helps us and them.

Must you go there, Boris? It is now 2016, so what make you want to put your hope in god helping us, now, as opposed to at any other time in the past, Boris.

So, Madam, that means we are on our own, then.
Yes, Boris. I am afraid we are, Boris. But not hopeless so. As we are the West and of the West, which makes us the master manipulators of world events, and puppeteers of of the world's puppets. You, Boris, would know a thing or two about this. Now, there might indeed come a time when the 'puppet', having been manipulated for so long, does indeed become self-animated and seek to manipulate the puppeteer, but, Boris, that might not be for sometime yet; at least, that is our hope.

Quite so, Madam; that is indeed our hope, and we can only hope that we are not wrong and has miscalculated the timing of such a transformation of puppet into puppeteer!
