UNITED STATES PROPOSAL FOR FUTURE OF ISRAEL AND PALESTINE. THE END!

This insistence by the Prime Minister of Israel, on that country directly negotiating a settlement with the Palestinians, reminds me of the former Apartheid Regime in South Africa, with the dominant white government insisting on having direct negotiations with pliable 'black leaders' of the Bantustans. It was tantamount to the Apartheid Regime saying, 'we know and understand our blacks, how they think and what is good for them.'

It was negotiations based on what the white regime needed and wanted, and nothing to do with the blacks, except insomuch as to stop them from doing anything to endanger the privileged living of the whites. Is this not the same principle and practice being employed by the State of Israel?

John Kerry's speech was long in the making and should, as other commentators have noted, made some years ago. It was a good speech which said what had been said by others in the past, and what needed to be said, repeatedly. And therein lies the crux of the matter; that what need to be said, has had to be said repeatedly. It has to be said repeatedly because the parties to the conflict have not been listening, and, even when some of them do listen, they have been ignoring what has been said, so nothing is changing for the better.

John Kerry delivers the speech with less than 30 days before the end of the Obama Presidency, which means that his Administration will not have the responsibility or power to work to try to help the parties to implement the message. What is worse, the incoming Don President has already reassured the government of Israel of his disagreement with the message, and that they do not have to implement it.

President Obama, in  effect, is the naked Emperor, being replaced by the new, but, probably just as delusional one, The Don President. Who imagines himself to be dressed in his finest attire, before he, also, will fall victim to the curse of America's unbalanced and unhealthy relationship with the State of Israel. Which is not to say American should not have a strong relationship with that country, rather that it should be more balance and healthier, with Israel not demanding immunity for all of its actions, however egregious and unjust they are.

The Israelis and the Palestinians have had more than enough time to get to the bloody peace table and negotiate a just and lasting peace agreement. Instead, what has been happening is that the State of Israel has continued to plant settlers into the occupied Palestinian lands, creating, as it were, facts on the ground, and, periodically, making devastating, bloody and wholly disproportionate military responses to the suicidal and homicidal attacks on Israel, by members of Hamas and their militant allies.

In response, the west, including America, continue to put its hands over its ears, it mouth and its eyes, pretending to hear nothing, to have nothing new to say, and see nothing, thereby acting as collaborators to Israel's excesses.

Is it not about time that the men of violence, both in the occupied Palestinian lands and in the land of Israel, accept that they have miserably failed to bring peace, and hand over the reigns of power to men and women who have the vision, prudence and the commitment to work effectively to bring peace to both people?

It is time for the Israelis and the Palestinians to remove the 'no entry sign' from the narrow path to peace!

Are they going to do so in 2017, or will these miserable losers continue to hold sway for another 60 or 100 years?

The gods forbid that it should be so, but then, there is probably no god, neither of the Jewish or the Muslims peoples of this desolate place, which is why the state of no peace and constant war continues to prevail.

Why would god want to reside amongst such desolation, oppression and destruction, even if the killing and maiming is being seen by some as a sacrifice to them, the gods, but which, like Cain's offering, is clearly being rejected?

And approach the obscured path to the hidden paradise to be enjoyed by both peoples.
