BARAK OBAMA THOUGH HE COULD, NOW PRESIDENT TRUMP THINKS HE WILL! PART 1.

The Don has taken power; power to the Don, as he eases himself noisily and ominously into the White House, the seat of power of, it is often stated, the world's most powerful country and man. Yes, powerful man, because this almost sacrosanct mansion, from which the plantation of the United States is governed, and is, effectively, forbidden to any female.

The nearest any woman has gotten to the ultimate seat of American power, has been to become 'First Lady', and Secretary of State. This fact, the world's so-called greatest 'democracy' shares with the most retrograde and conservative countries and dictatorships in the world.

And, as The Don secretes himself upon the Throne of Destiny, making it into almost a lair, instead of a place of hope and enlightened aspiration for all, more than half of the American population are affected with anxiety attack, and even more of the world's population. Notwithstanding the fact that The Don has been very clear in his pronunciation of much of what he will do, an anxious world looks on, and hopes that it will not be as bad as is feared.

That he will not really do all of the selfish and harmful things he has promised to do. That he will not set the clock back by as many hours as he has been promising. That he will not really attempt to screw the rest of the world to 'make America great again.' That, as former President Obama said, but which many of us feared is only the wishful thinking of a powerless, now ex-POTUS, pragmatism will force him to see sense.

Yes, it might, but, there is an equally, if not greater, chance that the power of being POTUS could send The Don crazy, as he becomes a power-junky. The Don reminds me of Dick Cheney, of that other, although probably much less powerful Don, Donald Rumsfeld. All businessmen/politicians who, given half a chance, would irresponsibly and probably, catastrophically used America's immense military and economic might recklessly.

This chance has now been given, by the vicissitude of the much vaunted American 'democracy', to just such a person, many of us fear, and so we breathe more slowly, waiting, waiting..

Yes, there seems to be little doubt that we, us ordinary human beings, should be afraid of having to have Donald Trump in occupancy of the White House. To be sitting on the Throne of Peace or Despair, and in the knowledge that he has intimated, if not loudly declared his intention to tilt the balance of his rule in favour of the latter.

To be continued.

Will Trump crush or cherish America's standing nationally and globally?
