IS ISRAEL'S GOVERNMENT USING SETTERS TO 'PLANT FACTS ON THE GROUND IN PALESTINE? PART 1.

Four years, yes, most probably 4 long years, during which time Benyamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, will have had to collaboration of President Donald Trump, The Unethical, President of the United States of America, to expand and consolidate his grand plan to secure the questionable protection of the people of the land of Israel, for, probably a thousand years.

And, to celebrate it, the State of Israel has just announced plans to build over 2000 more homes for Jewish settlers, in the occupied territories. These, in addition to the over 500 which has already been approved by the government of Israel.

Of course, in a thousand years time, Prime Minister Netanyahu might be no more than an apostrophe in the then history of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.  He will have been succeeded by probably as many 100 or more national leaders of Israel. Providing us humans, as a specie, survive for the next 1000 years.

Yes, where am I going with this, you might be thinking. Well, I am just pondering on how unfortunate it is, that there had been opportunities, in the past, to reach a better status quo between the Palestinians and the Israelis. Whereas the next 4 years are likely to see a massive Prime Minister Netanyahu wreaking or attempting to wreak as much havoc in the occupied Palestinian territories and the Middle East, as President Trump, TU, allows him to do.

With both of them being on the same page, paragraph and line together? With both men being worthy recipients of the award for being unethical and destructive in their leadership.

And so, it seems to me, that, unless the Palestinians are prepared to wait, generationally, for a thousand years, and, probably more, they really ought to seriously start negotiating with Israel.  Not for the ideal settlement, which is not on offer to either o the parties, but the best agreement they can achieve. An agreement which should be seen as the beginning and not the end agreement, which will take generations to realise.

It is not unthinkable that the state of Israel could maintain its state of conflict with the Palestinians in the occupied territories, for at least several centuries.

Or, for as long as the United States is prepared to under-write the cost of it doing so, and Europe is prepared to adopt its supine position. Both of which is showing no sign of coming to an end.

Yes, it is the case that, in more modern times, for example, since the fifteenth century, the longest wars, the Apache-Mexico and Russo-Swedish wars, lasted for just under 350 years. That, however, that does not mean that the State of Israel, with her western backers, could not continue the current conflict with the Palestinians for hundreds of years. So far it has been going on for just about 100 years; just another 900 years to go.

To be continued.
