JUST PHILOSOPHISING - JOB CREATION IS NOT INFINITE; WHILE HUMAN POPULATION CONTINUE TO INCREASE! PART 2.

Yet, as I write this, I am minded of the fact that there are people living in societies which, which are not comparable with the material and intellectual level of functioning of the more advanced societies. But which they might find to be pleasurable and enjoyable, although that is probably more likely to be the case with small tribes who keep themselves isolated or are isolated from the rest of humanity.

For the masses, as it were, living without 'good jobs' which are paying a 'livable wage', life and the conditions within which we have to live, can be very precarious. As we, humans, are compelled to either continue to eek out a 'living' out of an environment which has had its resources depleted and abused.  Or to take flight from our barren habitat, and move somewhere else, locally or to another country, where we might or might not be perceived as a threat by the locals.

Oftentimes with us, in our ignorance or myopic world view, giving little regard to replacing what can be replaced or ensuring the sustainability of what resources we take from the environment, which we depend on for our livelihood. For example, not cutting down all the trees and not replacing them, thereby condemning future generations of shelter, fuel, water supplies and arable land.

Or by hunting and killing all the animals and not allowing them time to replace themselves, thereby robbing the community of a diverse ecosystem within which humans and primates can live and survive.

In the more technologically advanced and consumerist societies, getting and maintaining a good job is of vital importance for the majority of the population, if we are to have and maintain the 'idealised' or near idealised life-style they have been culturally, psychologically and socially conditioned into aspiring towards.

And so, as is the pressure on each person of working age - which, unfortunately, in some countries and societies, include children of school age - so it the pressure on governments and societies to create more and more jobs.

Something which raises questions such as, will society ever be able to create enough jobs to enable all of its population who needs to work, to find a job? Will prospective workers ever be able to find jobs which pay them a liveable wage?

How many of these jobs will actually provide products which are essential, or even useful in making a valuable contribution to society? As opposed to making some people rich, before the rubbish and faddistic  products which are produced, like plastic toys or bottles, are cast away to blight the environment and the pleasures of us humans?

To be continued.
