JUST PHILOSOPHISING - JOB CREATION IS NOT INFINITE; WHILE HUMAN POPULATION CONTINUE TO INCREASE! PART 3.

Further more, if governments and societies are unable to create enough jobs, useful and essential jobs, so that each person who needs to work for a wage, can have such a job, how should society treats or supports those for whom such jobs do not exist?

Has society got any moral responsibility for providing for the welfare of those of us who fall into that category, or is it right that society and governments should continue with their denial of the fact that it is impossible to create an endless supply of meaningful jobs?  And that those who have jobs and great wealth have a responsibility for helping to provide for those for whom such jobs do not exist?

That, just as how the employed members of family working, might have a responsibility for the unemployed members who are earnestly looking for work, so might the employed and wealthy members of society, of the human community, be considered as having a responsibility for their non-working compatriots. In the first place, nationally, and, in the second, globally.

Unfortunately, there seems to be little to suggest that governments and societies are ready to come out of their denial about the inexhaustiblility of job creation, anytime soon. Just as how many political schools of thought, and capitalists, are wedded to the false concept of continuous wealth-creation and the growth of 'profitability.

These are all deceptions, with the guiding principle still being that 'everybody can get a job if they want one', but without the corollary that many would have to work for a pittance or a 'non-liveable wage.'

As is the perception that unemployment is a personal state of indolence and irresponsibility, for which the possessor should be punished by being socially stigmatised. At present jobs are being perceived mostly as activities which undertaken in the pursuit of profits and added value for the labour and capital invested in those activities.

This linkage between 'jobs and monetary profits', as opposed to, say the linking of jobs with activities which are primarily being undertaken to enhancing the quality of life of humans and the functioning of our societies, needs to be revisited.

To be continued.
