JUST A THOUGHT - A PRICE MUST BE PAID FOR EVERY ACTION AND REACTION! Part 2.

Yes, as I write this, I cannot but contemplate on President Trump, TU, signing Presidential Orders for oil companies to inflict great damage to the lands of Dakota, in the United States. By enabling the oil companies to bury massive oil pipes under it and risking the welfare of current and future generations, in order to amass monetary wealth and profits.

So as to create jobs, as if the creation of 'jobs' is an end in itself, with no regards to whether those jobs are being procured at too great a cost to local people and environment, and therefore have a negative overall impact on the quality of life and the eco-system.

In the process, ignoring the voices and actions of those people trying to defend the land against its powerful predator. We could also contemplate on the devastation of lands and waters which the oil companies extracting oil in Nigeria, have helped to bring about. And of the similar situation which they and the multinational chemical companies have wrought on many communities, in countries in the Americas.

We could also reflect on how, all over the world, e.g., in Africa, the Americas, and Asia, people are being deprived of their lands, forests being cleared of trees and all wild life. As multi-national companies and local ones with foreign investments, set about creating massive agri-industries, oftentimes based on a single produce, at the cost of diversification.

Yes, a price must be paid for all of these, effectively, criminal exploitation of the natural environment. A price which is clearly partly being paid by the present generations who are being forced from their lands, and deprived of the benefits they were getting from it.

Oftentimes being left destitute and forced into becoming dependent on a 'job-market' which is not developed enough to provide them with viable employment and livelihood. Thereby creating the impetus for people to migrate to other areas and countries.

Similarly, this exploitation of the natural world give no or insufficient consideration to the cost which is having to be paid by the fauna and flora depending on the land on which the developers have declared war. Or on the alternative cost to future generations, resulting from the loss of those eco-systems.

To be continued.
