BRITAIN'S PRIME MINISTER TO SCOTLAND - WE ARE LEAVING THE EU, BUT YOU MUST REMAIN WITH THE UK! THE END!

BRITAIN'S PRIME MINISTER WANTS OUT OF THE EU BUT IS INSISTING THAT SCOTLAND REMAINS PART OF THE UK. IRONIC OR ILLOGICAL?

The Brexiteers want to leave the European Union, having grown tired of trying to reform it.  And having to endure its constant encroachment - much as Nato is encroaching on the Russian Federation - into all aspects of their sovereignty and ordinary lives. Yes, becoming obese, if you like, on its expansionary quest.

They want to bring an end to EU residents - especially those from the poorer Eastern European countries - being able to move freely to and work in the countries of the United Kingdom.

They want to 'protect British jobs' and avoid the exploitation of the diminishing British welfare system' from and by  other European Union and non-EU nationals.

They want more nationalism - Britain for and by British people, especially the white anglo-saxon ones.

The Brexiteers want Britain to stop cooperating with and becoming integral partners with other European countries, in joint endeavours. To try to achieve the benefits of scale.

And yet, the British government would seek to criticise and deny Scotland the 'right' to leave a Union. Which a majority of Scots appear to believe is no longer serving the 'will of the Scottish people.

By what paradoxical logic can Mrs May's government justifies her position?

And, while all of this glib talk about the 'will of the British people' is being thrown around by the British government, spare a thought for the dire plight of the suffering and dying people of Yemen.

Whose suffering and killing is being aided and abetted by the British government.

Which is providing much of the weapons and logistical support for the Saudis. Who are laying waste to people and infra-structure of the Yemenis.

Whose 'will' is it that this relentless massacre and destruction of Yemenis and their country should be taking place?

Is it also 'the will of the British people, that the people of Yemen should be being slaughtered by the Saudis, as if they were sacrificial sheep?

Or, is it the will of the British government? Which is happy enough not to subject decisions to make war to the 'will of the people', but happy enough to pursue a course of action which will sow increasing disharmony and conflict between the peoples of Europe.

There are times and situations in the history of a people and nation. When pursuing a course of action which has given rise to grave concerns about the wisdom of it, however 'democratic' was the decision-making process.

Becomes more of a demonstration of the imprudence and cowardice of that nation's leaders, rather than of their commitment to the 'democratic principle.'
