AS I SEE IT - EUROPEAN AND AMERICAN IMPERIALISM IS ALIVE AND WELL - THE CASE OF SYRIA. THE END.

The American attack on Syria does not make any moral, military or political sense. 

It goes against logic, unless it is intended to strengthen the position of the rebels, including Daesh, ISIL and Al Queda. 

It is them and not the ordinary citizens of Syria, the suffering civilians, who are constantly being cited by the west, who will benefit. 

The rebels will become stronger, if the Syrian government and allied forces are put under more pressure, as a result of the attack. 

This will mean that areas of Syria where the fighting have been ended and 'normality' is being resumed, will become areas of conflict again. 

More fighting, more dying and more destruction. And more refugees and displaced Syrians leaving for Europe and America. 

Where they are not wanted by the British, French and American governments, which are busy building walls of one kind or another.

So, no, no, the American attack spells further disaster for the people of Syria.  And the threat of more people leaving for Europe and America. 

It is not an act of bravery, or moral strength. 

It is a destructive act, and, as we know only too well, the kind of act for which America and her Nato allies have a penchant for. 

As we have seen in Iraq, Libya, Yemen and Syria. With Nato having, repeatedly, proved itself to be a master destroyer, but a very inept builder.

The only good think which can be said about America's unwarranted attack on the Homs airbase, is that the loss of life has not been as high as it might have been. 

At the same time, it has resulted in the deaths of at least 6 people who did not have to die, not now. And whose families did not have to be grieving for them; not now. 

Neither will these and other deaths which will result from the loss of this airfield to the Syrian armed forces, lessen the pain and loss of the over 80 people who have died.

No, there is nothing to celebrate, unless you happen to be among the rank of the rebels who are fighting the Syrian government. And the Syrian civilians who support their government. Or the British, American, French, Australian, Saudi and other governments that support the rebels.

For everybody else, there is the fear of this murderous proxy war being given  a renewed lease of life, and continuing to eat the Syrian people. And irreparably damaging its future developmental potential and prospects.

And mostly because the Americans and their Nato and Sunni alliance not only want to implement their imperialistic and undemocratic vision of who should govern Syria. 

But also to ensure that the war does not end until their objectives are achieved. Irrespective of how many Syrian have to die and how desolate the country becomes.
