BRITISH GENERAL ELECTIONS - MASTER STROKE FROM PRIME MINISTER THERESA MAY?! THE END!

Because, on the one hand, they should not allow the Tory's to win this election with a majority which could be interpreted as giving the next government a carte blanche or blank cheque.

To do so would be, arguably placing Prime Minister May on par with President Putin and President Erdogan. It would dilute the semblance of 'democracy' which still coats the more unseemly political rule of the country.

At the same time, the British electorate does not have a strongly credible political alternative to vote for, in the form of the Labour Party.

Which seems to indicate that tactical voting should probably become the order of the day.

With the electorate voting for not only the Tories, but for Labour, the Lib-Dems, SNP, and the Greens, with a view to ending up with a coalition government.

I am aware that some British politicians, rather arrogantly, believe that coalition governments are not good enough for the British. Which is patently not the case, as coalition governments are more representative of the differing views of the people.

It would more fully reflect the differing political views of the British people and the electorate, and be more 'democratic'.

The election presents a very real opportunity for those of the electorate who oppose the Brexiteers, to try and influence the Brexit negotiations and agreement with the European Union.

But they can only do so by employing tactical voting; by voting for parties other than the Tories.

Unfortunately, as with so many other policy issues, the Labour Party seems not to have a clearly thoughtout position on Brexit.

Although it now seems to be ruling out another referendum on Brexit. It could be that this is a big opportunity for the Lib-Dems and the Greens to capitalise on.

What should not be an option for sections of the British electorate, would be for significant percentage of them to not vote.  Because they are frustrated, alienated and fed-up with the politicians and politics.

Every vote not caste, could have the effect of being a vote cast for a candidate you would not have voted for. In effect, if you do not vote, the winning candidate, whether or not you are supportive of him/her, is really your default choice.

I wish I could make an argument for the electorate to vote for the British Labour Party, out of conviction, but I cannot do so.

I am rather too put off by the BLP continuously using the same old phrases - the public sector, the working classes, the wealthy, etc, etc - and appearing to have nothing new. Old wine being sold in new bottles, as it were.

Politics has always and still is about opportunism and expediency. So, let those who oppose the Brexiteers also be opportunistic and expedient, and vote for Labour and the Greens, as a tactic towards furthering their strategies to nullify Brexit.
