.JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON STATES OF BEING. RACIST. PART 3

By now you will be wondering where am I going in exploring the issue of racism. 

Well, to begin with, I felt it necessary to contextualise 'racism' as being just one of a quite wide variety of how humans go about stratifying ourselves and how we interact and behave towards each other. 

Both individually and as apparently discreet ethnic, religious, cultural, social, political and national groups.

Yes, we all know or should know that there really is only one 'race' of humans. 

The scientists and archaeologists have studied the bones, other artefacts and the genetic codes of our ancient ancestors.  

And have theorised that 'modern humans' evolved from species which exhibited 'human-like' features, going back 3-7 million years ago. 

How us humans evolved into the sentient beings that we have become is a very complex process which has taken millions of years. 

For which we have to rely on 'the scientific proof', or, for the more religious and 'creationists' among us, accept that it was simply a magical process which god conjured up.

As an aside, I can see how the 'creationist's' account for how humans came into existence might appeal to the faithful. 

Because of its rather clinical and magical nature, compared to the million years evolutionary process which more credibly account for our existence.

That be as it may, since this post is not about 'creation versus evolution', but rather, a discourse about 'racism.' 

Let us return to that subject matter. The argument I am making is that, with all of us, regardless of our ethnic, religious, cultural, political and social origins. 

We are all demonstrably of and belonging to the 'human race.' 

And there being only one human race, the term'racism', does not aptly or appropriately covers the reasons why we behave with repugnance towards people who are not of our own ethnic background, as well as some who are.
