JUST A THOUGHT - TURKEY, ERDOGAN AND THE WORLD. A CURIOUS RELATIONSHIP! THE END!

He should realise that this is likely to be the outcome, as he contemplate on turning back the progress, which 'The Father of the Nation', Kemal Ataturk has wrought.

Only for him, Erdogan, to set about laying it to waste, nearly 80 years later.

And, as he does so, many of the people of Turkey can only hold their heads in shame, as President Erdogan set about repressing and imprisoning all those who stand in his way.

Or whom he suspect might now or at some point in the future, oppose his autocratic rule.

They can only watch as he and his ministers alienate the leaders of Europe, and how he attempts to inveigle himself on the Russians and now the Americans, as he tries to achieve his objectives in Syria.

A country which he probably wishes to see become part of a Turkoman empire, again.

As much as millions of Turks opposes the rule of their latter day 'Emir.' With President Erdogan surviving a failed coup and repeated contests at the polls.

Then, barring some unforeseen event which is fated to remove him from office, Turks who opposes him are fated to suffer him for some time to come.

As for his relationships with Europe, America, Russia, the Middle East and Africa.

They will continue to be based on both Erdogan's strategic ambitions, as well as his tendency towards opportunism and expediency. All of which makes a a tendentious and unreliable partner.

There is a constant struggle between the forces of progress and inertia, between evolution and regression, between forces of darkness and fear, and hope and enlightenment.

But, as long as the negative forces are not allowed to irrevocably establish themselves, hope, enlightenment and progress should ultimately prevail.

I suspect that that, in Turkey, it is the forces of the various opposition movements which are the true natural successors to the Nation which Ataturk began building. It is not Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Who seems prepared to sacrifice all the progress which Turkey has made, especially since it threw of the rule of the Generals, in his quest for god and empire.
