Religion, whether it is Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, have a lot to answer for.  

In terms of their potential and tendency to be used as incitements murderous carnage. 

Of course, although  all of these religions, at different times in their history, have been involved in murderous blood letting. 

Currently, it is people who professed to be Muslims, who perpetrating most of the religious blood letting.

All of which just provide further proof that, without religion, the world might probably be a more peaceful and enjoyable place for us humans.

Granted that religion will always be in the world, countries such as Britain and other European countries.  

If they are to avoid the carnage and intolerance towards other religions, and even between different sects of Islam, which we are seeing in some Muslim countries.  

Should intervene and put into place regulations which ensure that the version of Islam which is thought and observed in them, is consistent with their 'liberal values and societies.' 

They need to zealously guard against backward looking Muslim practices and values taking hold in them.

Would that not be a denial of the 'rights of Muslims' to choose what version of Islam they want to follow? 

Well, yes, it would be. However, confronted with the likelihood of European countries, in say, a few hundred years time.  

Being taken back to the dark ages of religious and Theistic tyranny. And future generations having to suffer to bring back the age of enlightenment. 

I suspect that most reasonable people would consider it a price worth paying. 
That Muslims should not have the right to chose a version of Islam which could lead to the detriment of millions of humans. 

Just as how Christians and non-Chrisitians have already been spared having to suffer such fate under Christianity.

There is no point in Europeans, having been freed from the tyrannical past of Christianity, to now have to contend with the potential tyranny of Islam. 

And herein lies the fear of and antipathy of an enlightened and freed people, towards conservative and 'radical' Islam. 

It is therefore understandable that Europeans and people who are not Muslims, should guard their and future generations' individual rights and freedoms zealously. 

Which, of course, includes the individual rights and freedoms of Muslim Europeans. The full expression of which, offers the European Muslim the 'right' to place his/herself above the 'man attributed 'right' of god, without fear of man, religion, the state, or god, as it were.

Even though that is precisely what the conservative, traditionalistic and 'radical Islam' fear most; the the fact that humans, in the world of humanity, should have priority over the gods. And should not be afraid of exercising it.

For this to happen, Europe needs to have its own version, a reformed version of Islam, which is conducive towards the European secularism and social, religious and ethnic cohesion. 

The best way to safeguard religious freedom, is to ensure societal freedom from 'religious extremism', including discriminatory and oppressive religious practices, by any religion.

The Salman Abedis of the Muslim world represent religious extremism, of the kind which hates living and humans being free and happy. They and their doctrines and their supporters do not belong to the world of humans. 

They, although being a minority of Muslims, are a curse to humanity.

To the extremists, I say this: Who are you, or anybody else, to know what god or the gods want of us humans? However, being human, we do know what we humans want, which is to be free from tyranny, being political, religious, economic, military or social. But all you offer is the promise of oppression, directly and by your god.
