JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON KHAMENAI VERSUS ROUHANAI AND THE INCOMPATIBILITY OF RELIGIOUS AND SECULAR POLITICAL INCOMPATIBILITY! PART 2.

Threats such as poverty, the fear of adopting different ways of thinking and of perceiving oneself and the world. 

Fear of being able to question what you are told to believe and why you might have been told to believe it. 

Fear of evolving into something, somebody better than what had gone on before you. 

Although there are still countries in which, Christianity, or 'Christian values', still plays an unhealthy role in the social and political life of the people. 

Such as in Ireland, some South American countries and some states in the United States of America, where abortion is illegal. 

And in Israel, where the political and social life of the country is, arguably, too weighted in favour of Judaism. 

It is in the countries which practise Islam, especially those which have become Islamic States. Where religion has become, or been used, primarily to oppress the people. 

Instead of as a means of deliverance from many of the threats which they face daily. Threats such as poverty, the fear of adopting different ways of thinking and of perceiving oneself and the world. 

Fear of being able to question what you are told to believe and why you might have been told to believe it. Fear of evolving into something, somebody better than what had gone on before you.

Which causes me to ponder on the tension, if not outright hostility between the people elected government of Iran, led by their President, Hassan Rouhani, and the country's religious establishment, led by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. 

Of course, Ayatollah Ali Kamenei, might have been elected by Iran's religious elites, and might therefore be able to make a tendentious claim to have been 'appointed' by god. 

But, in a rational and logical way, neither he nor the country's religious establishment, can prove the veracity of such a claim.

It can be healthy for the development of Iranian 'democracy' and political and social evolution, to have Ayatollah Ali Khamenei criticising the President of Iran.
