UST A THOUGH - SHOULD RELIGIOUS FOLLOWERS BEHAVE MORE ETHICALLY AND MORALLY CORRECT IN THEIR WORSHIP? THE END!

During the service, which, as usual, was conducted with a sense of humility and reverence. Much was made of the professed satisfaction which is to be had from following the 'Christian doctrine.'

I say 'humility', but I am not sure that Christian, Muslims, Jews, or the followers of any other faith, really display much humility. In how they go about asserting their beliefs about 'god and his purpose for humans.'

After all, should humility not be about humbling oneself before the great unknowns.

As some people might define the question of whether or not god or gods exist, and in what form/s, if they do, and what, if any message they might have for humans?

Should it not include the preamble that; ' we believe these things to be true, but we do not know for sure and have no tangible prove that they are, or of the existence of god?

That, 'we cannot guarantee the authenticity and purported 'divine inspiration' of their religious doctrines?

Should such honesty and ethics not be required of the religious devout?

Is it really ethical for a religious adult to indoctrinate the younger generations into accepting as 'fact', religious doctrines and gospel.'

Which, when examined and analysed, seems to be speak more about the philosophical and intellectual discourses of humans, and our assumptions about god. Than about any divine creed?

And so it seems to me, the clergy and followers of religions should be more demonstrative, honest and ethical, in their relationship with their faiths and with humanity.

They should consider desisting from relating with the the dogma of their faiths, as if they speak of an objective and tangible reality, as opposed to subjective reality.

As if it is a realisable or realised state, as opposed to a belief which, arguably, is not realisable.

But this might never happen, at least, not for many centuries to come. As the 'factualised' religious myths cease to continue to be the important aspects of the daily lives and future aspirations of so much of humanity. And are replaced by new ones.

Based on free humans who take responsibility for meeting their own needs. As humans endeavouring to achieve happiness, without having to continue to submit themselves to the creeds of powerless and imaginary god/s.
