JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON THE WRATH OF THE GODS IN A GODLESS WORLD! PART 3.

And the people cry out to God, save us from these disasters which are becoming the bane of our lives, more so than ever.

But the Gods do not help us, not just because it is said that God helps those who help themselves. And us human do not do enough to help ourselves.

But because we have become too attached to a way of organising our societies, which is no longer sustainable.

An hungry human will kill and sell the last cow on the planet, if it is what he has to do to get the money to buy what he needs keep him and his family alive for another day. It would not be 'right', but he would do it.

And so it is that, in helping to protect ourselves from self-induces or human assisted environmental disasters.

We need to find more environmentally friendly ways of ensuring that the haves-not of the world.  Do not have to destroy or dangerously exploit any natural resources they still have in their local environments.

In their attempts to have 'secure and viable' jobs and incomes.

Us humans have to better manage our husbandry and utilisation of the rest of the earth's virgin forests and the minerals which are within and under it.

To be more appreciative of the fact that, while these resources can survive without any input from humans, our species cannot survive without these resources playing the life-preserving role they are playing.

And that, although it seems a bit harsh, that countries which have depleted their natural resources, and, in some cases, that of other countries.

Should be seen to be telling other countries not to do the same thing, seems hypocritical.

The answer is not for the latter to take the approach that 'it is ours, so we can do what we want to do with it.'

Yes, possession might really be nine-tenths of the law, but
no individual human or nation really have a personal or national right to any part of the earth, unless you have tilled it, it without dispossessing others who had been dependent on and was caring for it.

Even though we have laid claim to it. The earth is ours to use, collectively and responsibly.

The answer might lie in a compromised situation, where the more developed countries pay a 'global communal levy' to other countries with significant natural resources.

Such as rain forests in South America, Africa and Asia, to partly offset any benefit they would have accrued from recklessly and unsustainable exploiting their forests and/or underground resources.

To be continued.
