NORTH KOREA'S KIM JUNG-UN - HOW TO DEAL WITH THIS HITLERIAN PSYCHOTIC. THE END?

It is a strategy which, I believe, should put an end to the 'action-reaction' deadly waltz which Washington and Pyongyang have been indulging in for the past several months.

The Americans, South Koreans and Japanese need to stop reacting to every development from North Korea. Even when those developments are worrying and potentially very grave.

Not responding does not mean not doing anything to try to counter the provocations from North Korea.

It means not feeding the megalomanic pretensions of Kim Jung-un and his regime.

Not providing him with the stage for him to massage his ego, his Hitlerian aspirations. It means continuing planning for certain possible or probable scenarios, but not publicising them for Kim and his government.

It means not constantly calling for sanctions against North Korea, and not putting relentless pressures on the Chinese to do America's dirty work for it.

It means the United States, especially the her Ambassador to the UN, not being so profusive in her trading of threats and insults aimed at Kim and his government, and at China and other countries which are counselling caution and negotiations.

But working together, within the framework of the United Nations, to put in place a strategy.  Which can contain and turnaround the threat which Kim Jung-un, his family and government.

Pose to the their neighbours, and to the United States, which NK has declared to be its number one enemy.

It is true that the situation is extremely complex, with probably most of the people of North Korea having invested, voluntarily or involuntarily, their lives in the bile which the Kim dynasty has been preaching for the decades since the Korean War.

But that is the reality which has to be worked with. It is a reality which also requires new thinking and a broadening of the West's perspective.

There is, for example, no reason why is should preclude direct talks between the Americans, the North Koreans and the South Koreans about bringing an end to the Korean War which has continued to be fought, albeit by other means, upto now.

It is better for 'god' and the 'devil', to use that characterisation, to meet and negotiate. Than that they should recklessly destroy much of humanity, in their myopic truculence.

Thus, although negotiating with North Korea is not likely to result in any success anytime soon, it is probably the least destructive of all other options.

Even though, in the intermediate period, the people of North Korea will have to continue to pay the true cost of the Tyranny of the Kim dynasty.

Which is why the principle or doctrine of trying to remove a people's ruler/s by collectively punishing them, is neither a moral nor an equitable one, but one which is most egregious.
