How quickly do the Seasons seem to come and go, according to the age and perceptions of their audience? 

 And, quite soon we are, again, left with only of memories of the beauty our senses had experienced. And the feeling of joy  that part of our inner being had extracted what what we had anticipated, seen and savoured!
