JUST A THOUGHT - ON HOW 'THE CUT' IS PROBABLY THE WORST EUPHEMISM FOR ADULTS TORTURING CHILDREN! PART 4.

If I were to argue that this is so, would that mean that I am wrongly blaming the women? 

By saying they should take responsibility for what they are societally doing to themselves? 

Probably in their belief that it is, or might be what their men desire, and what will make them more desirable to their men? 

Is it all about the low self-esteem that tribal women have; them thinking that their worth to their men can only be measured in terms of their perceived sexual desirability to their men. 

Although, the fulfilment of the sexual act, might hardly be one of pleasure, but rather brutality, as the groom tries to penetrate the mutilated vagina of his wife?

And yet, how ironic it is, that, in the daily living of people within societies which continue to inflict this act of barbarity on their children and women, the ordinariness of life persists. 

A man will love his wfe and children as much as his more enlightened western counterpart. 

As will a woman loves her husband, and a daughter loves her mother. 

The same mother who, in probably unthinking subservience to 'our culture', subject her daughter, then as an helpless child, to the barbarity of the cold blade wielding  torturer. 

It is, it seemed to be perceived, simply a different way of 'expressing love', in different cultures. 

But, yes, it is a qualitative difference. The society which continues to practice what is clearly an act of great brutality. 

Something which seems so at odds with any concept of enhanced humanity and devoid of compassion. 

A practice which speaks volumes about the failure of the people who practice it.  

To evolve from their ancient and traditional preoccupation with the adoration and mutilation of the body, to focusing on developing their intellectual and social enlightenment.

Simply because the victim and the perpetrator, and their society, have come, over centuries of illogical conditioning and failure to challenge it, to legitimise this barbarity as an essential part of 'our culture.'
