JUST A THOUGHT - WHEN FEAR OF DEATH MAKES AN ASS OF THE LAW, LEADING IT TO DENY PEOPLE A DIGNIFIED DEATH. PART

There are times when it seems, nay, when it is clear that English jurisprudence is no more than the enshrined and codified worldview, weltanschauung, of the ruling political elites. 

The most recent example of this defective and biased demonstration of asinine legal judgement, was made clear in Britain on Thursday 5th October 2017.  

When 3 so-called eminent High Court Judges, ruled against the plea of a terminally ill man to be allowed to have respectful and dignified death,

Mr Noel Conway is a 67 year old man who suffers from motor neurone disease, which is progressively degenerative condition. 

According to his Barrister, Mr Richard Garnham, Mr Conway has graphically expressed how his illness causes him to have a feeling of being "entombment." 

This is something that anybody with a bit of imagination can fathom. 

The feeling of being trapped in a body which no longer responds to your attempts to animate it. 

With hands that you can no longer move, feet that no longer works and  accord you mobility. 

Limbs that become atrophied from muscles that become ceased up. 

And, as time progresses, most probably, very slowly, a body that completely shuts down, with vital organs which would stop working and die. 

Had it not been for the aid of mechanical apparatuses which keeps ones lungs, heart, kidney, etc, going. 

As one is no longer able to talk or communicate with ones internal or external world.

All that Mr Conley, and many others with such terrible diseases are asking the courts for, is to allow them, with medical assistance. 

To end their lives before they slip into a silent fearful world, where they are entombed without the ability to communicate in anyway at all. 

But the courts have refused, because they do not have the balls or courage to do the right thing.

And this, in the 21st Century, is the fate which  Mr Justice Whipple, Sales, and Gordon, in their judicious wisdom, is condemning Mr Conway to. 

And for what offence has he been convicted and condemned to such a horrible and lingering death? Has he murdered a child, a police officer, or killed a dog? No, he has not. Nothing so mundane.

Instead, Mr Conway's offence, although he might not be aware of it, and has been convicted and sentenced, despite his innocence.  

Is being punished, because of the court's, the political establishment's and other vested interests' desire.  

Not to set the legal precedent which is required to accord him, Mr Conway, and, yes, others in his unfortunate position, a respectful and dignified death.
