TEAM MERCEDES-HAMILTON-BOTTAS WON THE UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX! THE END!

With Hamilton having become the 'hare' who nobody could catch, the real competition, as it were, was taking place between Bottas, Raikonnen, Vettel and Verstappen. 

Vettel made somewhat of a quick work of overtaking the opposition and placing himself firmly in P.2 position by the end of the race. 

And, with Bottas, probably somewhat surprisingly and with the negative effect of the racing strategy he was given, falling back, as he was overtaken by the other 3 contenders.  

P.3 was left to be decided between Verstappen and Raikonnen. 

With Verstappen having had to 'go off-track', as it were, to over-take the unyielding Raikonnen during the final lap, he was deemed to have infringed the rules and had a 5 second penalty served on him. 

The result of which was that, he was poignantly demoted to P.4, which meant that the Ice Man, who diligently observed the rules, was reinstated to P.3. 

As much as it is fascinating to watch Verstappen displaying his spectacular racing skills and verve, and empathise with his obvious chagrin at being deprived of P.3, Raikonnen had driven well, and was deserving of his P.3 position.

And so, a Very Big Congratulation to Team Mercedes-Hamilton, Vettel and Raikonnen and Team Ferrari, for Podiumising themselves by winning the 2017 United States Grand Prix

For those of us who support, and/or simply admire and respect, you, Team Mercedes-Hamilton-Bottas, we thank you - and the gods. 

For the sterling work you are putting in, day after day, every day, into making Team Mercedes-Hamilton-Bottas work like the synchronised and finely tuned clock it is now working as. 

And to the other Teams, we can but say, do increase you efforts to evolve like how TMHB has evolved, because, what they have sofar achieved.  

Have only been made so, because they are at the height of their game, and are functioning, vibrating and resonating as a symmetrical Team, operating as one organism!

Now, let us look forward in anticipation of what the Mexican Grand Prix will bring us, in the hope that it will be another entertaining and gripping race.
