JUST AN OPINION - NIGERIA' BRUTAL DIRTY WAR AGAINST ITS CITIZENS - A WAR CRIME OF THE FIRST ORDER? THE END!

Then, why not just leave them to endure their fate under Boko Haram's rule?

Which, based on the picture illuminated by this documentary, might, without the government's inept and criminal intervention, be less detrimental for them.

As I watched and listen to the documentary, and later reflected on it.

I find myself contemplating on the probably causes why the people of the Biafra region of Nigeria had gone to war with the Nigerian Federal government. So many decades ago.

Although Nigeria is legally one country, it is made of people of many different ethnic, religious, linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

Many, if not all of them with their own rich history and philosophical worldviews.

One can understand how any of these regional peoples could become disaffected by an incompetent, criminal and callous Federal Government.

Which is repleted with people whose primary concerns might be about establishing and reinforcing their power bases.

About making as much money as they can, irrespective of as what cost to people in the 'far flung outer regions of the Empire.'

And, as I watched the innocent, even the disabled, being instructed by the Nigerian Army soldiers on how to lie on the ground so that they can be shot, stabbed or beaten to death.

I found myself asking: Is Nigeria, as a State, a civilised one? Is there any difference between the these brutal an uncivilized and ill-disciplined soldiers. who were sent to put down the insurgency and the Boko Haram insurgents?

If there was and is, it was not apparent.

So, why is the United Nations not carrying out an investigation into what seems so clearly to have been war crimes carried out by the Nigerian Army and government?

Are these thousands of murdered, massacred Nigerians, more so their living relatives, to be denied justice?

Why? Why is it that the western world appears to have turned a blind eye, ear and nose, to this crime against humanity. Which has been perpetrated and probably still being perpetrated against innocent civilian?

By a government which should be protecting the people, and not massacring them in as gross a manner as Boko Haram?

Is it because the lives of poor and oppressed people have less value that those of other people? Why evil men can continue to slaughter and destroy them with immunity? So it seems. So it seems.
