JUST A THOUGHT - IS ISRAEL, THE UNITED STATES AND SAUDI ARABIA CONSPIRING TO KEEP THE MIDDLE EAST ON FIRE? PART 1.

Due to a technical error, the last part of this post was posted first. Apologies for the confusion.

So, how can this be, that so many nations, and even organisations of nations, stand by so idly, so effectively in allowing the government and people of Saudi Arabia to so wantonly perpetrate their genocidal war on the people of Yemen?

Is it that the governments and people of, primarily the West, have become inured, de-sensitised and immune to the suffering and destruction of people in 'distant lands.? 

Has this been a part of the prise which humanity is having to pay for having to endure - mostly from the safety of our own homes far away from the conflict - for 6  1/2 years of terror and death and destruction in Syria? 

Has Syria exhausted the moral courage the people of the West; the most powerful region of the world?

Yes, of course it is the case that there are many aid organisations in the West which are doing their best to help the hapless people of Yemen. 

And yet, while it is the case that, every Yemen life which is saved by this aid, adds to the store of resources which can be applied to the arduous challenge of recovery, after this war is  over. 

The most effective way of helping the people of Yemen, is for this war to be brought to an end. 

It needs to end, because, every day that this terrible Saudi invasion of Yemen continues, will add years to the recovery process.

Of what good is Western aid, of what good is the humanitarian aid which the United Nations is pushing for for the wretched and starving people of Yemen.  

If the  so-called civilised world allow the government of Saudi Arabia and its allies to continue to obliterate the people of Yemen and their infrastructure and livelihood?

Surely, the logical approach towards properly addressing a problem, in this case, the virulence of Saudi Arabia's invasion of Yemen, is to first contain the problem. 

To take effective action to stop the spread of the virus, and then begin the process of rolling it back.

So, why is this not happening in Yemen, despite strong advocacy of the Western and other aid organisation? 

Despite the  disingenuous hand-wringing and lamentations of Western politicians. Could the concern which our politicians speak of, just be a part of their balancing act? 

A further expression of their deceit and intention to deceive their electorate and general audience?

Especially when the same politicians and governments who are ineptly presenting themselves as 'being reasonable' and 'concerned about what is happening in Yemen.' 

Who are endorsing the valuable contribution of the aid and humanitarian organisations. Are, with their other hand and the other side of their mouths, selling to the Saudis and their allies, all the arms which they are willing to pay for, to perpetuate their crimes against the Yemenis?

Well the people of Yemen might be perplexed about why this terrible fate should be afflicting them, with the rest of the world seeming to be looking on, doing nothing effective to remove their tormentor. 

When they, as a people, are unlikely to have done anything to warrant it, anymore than any other country, including Saudi Arabia.
