JUST A THOUGHT, ON CATALAN'S ELECTION RESULTS - PUIGDEMONT SHOULD NOT START CELEBRATING! PART 1.

Carles Puigdemont and his Catalan pro-independence supporters are currently finding it difficult to remain grounded. 

In fact, if they do not try to contain themselves more, they could find themselves drifting out of Catalunya and being deposited into the rest of Spain. 

And what is it that has led to this unparalleled outbreak of euphoria in Catalan? 

Well, I surmise that it is all a matter of feeling that the honour, the integrity of Catalan and its people, have been impugned by the Spanish central government. 

Many Catalans, I suspected, and including those who oppose Catalan becoming independent from the rest of Spain, have been outraged by the manner in which the Spanish government of Mariano Rajoy.  

Has gone about trying to correct the wrong which Puigdemont has committed. By illegally holding a referendum on whether Catalan should become an independent nation, by seceding from the rest of Spain. 

Whether, in effect, Catalan should be allowed to begin the disintegration of the sovereign State of Spain, back into its pre-unified state of mini States.

Many Catalans will have seen the Central government's action as the equivalent of a slap in the face for the Catalans. As a challenge which they have to respond to. 

And this, then, the reinstatement of the 'separatists' of 'pro-independence parties' majority in the Catalan regional Parliament, as being a double slap in the face for the Central government. 

Those who voted for these parties are saying to the Central government, do not disrespect or treat us with contempt. We will not stand for it.

And now, Catalan's honour has somewhat been restored, what next? 

Is Puigdemont not being precipitous and unwise in already declaring 'victory for Catalan's pro-independence supporters and advocates? 

Or is this simple the equivalent of Catalan's 'Neville Chamberlain's I have the agreement Moment', leading up to the Second World War?
