JUST A THOUGHT - THE WORLD REACTIONS TO PRESIDENT TRUMP'S RECOGNITION OF JERUSALEM AS ISRAEL'S CAPITAL. PART 6.

The support of a strong and unassailable Israel for the Jews, is a form of European reparation for their centuries old oppression of the Jews.

So, the Palestinians, the Arabs and the Muslims of the world, should not be surprised if the Europeans, in effect, standby idle.

Seemingly with their hands behind their backs, and their backs toward Palestine, ignoring the screams of the Palestinians, as the State of Israel continue to smother. To pound them back into history.

Of course, it is not only a matter of the Europeans not having the incentive or motivation.

It is also the fact the the governments of Israel do not trust the Europeans or their governments. They resent them and are not apt to listen to anything they say.

Really, you might be thinking. Is it really that bad? Well, yes, it probably is, if not worse, since that could go some way to explain the absence of any progress in resolving this conflict.

So, if the Palestinians cannot look to the Americans and/or to the Europeans, including the British, to get them out of the impass they have been in for probably nearly 70 or so years. Then, what about the Arabs?

Yes, do the Arab countries of the region, especially, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, et al, not have some responsibility to help to bring this ulcerated struggle to an successful conclusion?

Yes, by now you might be thinking, for the love of Allah, how could that be?

How could it be, indeed, when the State of Israel had made its peace with Egypt, with Jordan, with Syria, with Lebanon.

With each of these countries now busily fighting, in various ways, for their survival, for the welfare of their people, to be too bothered by the plight of the Palestinian people.

We have seen how the governments of Arab countries in the Middle East attempt to solve their issues with Israel, militarily. It has, to a large extent, not been successful.

Not only because Israel has the military backing of the United States, and that, if it comes to it, the US would undoubtedly militarily intervene to protect the State of Israel.

Any support the Palestinians get from their Arab neighbours, would need to be economic, political and diplomatic.

Diplomacy is at a premium in this matter, and there is little to suggest that any current Arab leaders and diplomats. That they have the vision and diplomatic expertise to to bring about the necessary negotiations and breakthrough.

If there are such persons in the Arab world, either they are not in government, or they are in government but are not in the positions of power.

Looking to the Arab leaders and government to help the Palestinians to negotiate a successful peace settlement with Israel, does not look promising.

They have failed to do so during the past 70 years, and have to be judged on their record.

To be continued!
