JUST A DISAPPOINTING THOUGHT - ON EGYPT'S CONTEMPTIBLE PRESIDENT ABDEL FATTAH EL SISI. PART 1.

And so it is, that the decision has been made. It is that the people of Egypt should be denied their assumed 'rights' to have a fair and transparent election elect a President.  

To serve, or, in the manner of the military and establishment elites of the Egyptian Oligarchy, rule over them, for the next 4 years.

According to the 'democratic model', which the government of Egypt, led by  President Abdel Fattah el Sisi, purports to follow.  

The Egyptian electorate should be having a list of different candidates for whom they can vote for. In free, fair and transparent elections.

This is what should be happening, but the indications are that this is not what is or will be happening, before, during or even after the presidential elections. 

No, not with reports of the Egyptian government being very busy designing and implementing 'Operation Crush El Sisi's Oponents.' 

Yes, just as how the Egyptian ruling classes had come together, and assisted by despondency and resignation of millions of Egyptians. 

To brutally and murderously eliminate the fleeting reign of the Sun God, in the so-called 'Arab Spring', before it could become rooted. 

So have they, again, taken effect steps to obliterate all likely effective  electoral opposition to President Es Sisi.

Having unsuccessfully tried to get his few potent opponents to stay out of the country, while arrangements are made for the election. The government simply surreptiously threaten them to stay out of the elections. 

The government does not have to add the 'or else.' Having seen how ruthlessly the the Establishment put down the what passed for Egypt's 'Arab Spring.' 

Any Egyptian who values his/her life, needs any explanation of what would happen to them.  

If they were to embarrass the 'dear President', who, along with his government, would expect them to know that, what the government is doing, is in the country's best interests.

Diplomacy ought to be the process by which nations, through their governments, establish and maintain mutually beneficial and peaceful relationships between them; Diplomacy is not, like the Gulf Cooperation Council members and their allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE states, trying to bully and intimidate Qatar into doing their bidding, by surrendering its sovereignty.  Neither is diplomacy what the American government is doing, in using sanctions to force the governments of states of Iran, Russia and North Korea, into complying with its demands.  About what action they should or should not take in pursuing what they consider to be in the interest of their countries and people.  No, none of this is diplomacy. Rather it is method of force and compulsion, which is not synonymous with principle or practice of diplomacy.  Which is about the art of establishing and maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial relationships between different countries.
