JUST A THOUGHT - ON THE AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS' DILEMMA AND JACOB ZUMA'S DOOM! PART 2.

Since this post series was started, Jacob Zuma has, finally, done the right thing and resigned from the Presidency of South Africa. 

With Cyril Ramaphosa having now resumed the role of being appointed, but not yet elected President of the Republic. 

Although this change of rider has resulted in hope for the Republic replacing the previously mounting concerns about the inept government of the country. 

Unless there are fundamental and urgent review and reform of the ANC, the currently somewhat encouraging situation is likely to be no more than a temporary respite. 

Since  a new rider cannot deliver the country to the promised land, without also renewing and equipping the ANC, so that it becomes fit for purpose. For achieving the mission which CM is setting himself, and the South African Nation.


The ANC, like ZANU-PF, has become synonymous with the country and the State of South Africa. 

With the failings of the Party becoming also the failings of the country, and the prospects of a better country being dragged down, being in danger of drowning with falling star of the ANC. 

We are not yet, fortunately, seeing South Africa having its 'Nicholas Maduro Moment.' 

But the situation is still very serious; not least with President Zuma, at this eleventh hour. 

Saying he does not know why South Africans are insisting that he must go, and that they are being 'unfair' on him. 


Such naivety, such feigned innocence, which might be worthy of John the Baptist, or even Christ, but not of an experienced politician such as Jacob Zuma. 

Of course, when he is called before the South African judiciary to answer for any charges which might be brought against him, Jacob Zuma is likely to be plead innocent of any wrong-doing. 

Although it is probably unlikely that the Judge will be declaring that he/she has found that the prosecution has not case against him.

The call is for Jacob Zuma to go, for him to fall from the Presidential office, and, go he will, fall he is certain to be. As he now has.

   It is unlikely that things were ever getting better.
