JUST A THOUGHT - ON THE PYRRHICISM OF REDUCING WOMEN' EMPLOYMENT IN FORMULA 1. THE END!

But, there is also another party who has a vested interest Formula 1's use of these women.

The women who are employed for this purpose. The women who have been able to earn at least a race's income from performing this duty.

The women who are being afforded the opportunity of some 'free publicity' on the world's media, which could result in bigger things and earnings for them.

The 'Track Parade women' who must now lose their jobs, because of the perceptions, the pressures and the 'political correctivity' other people.

The 'women's rights activists and advocates', who appear to see nothing wrong with denying some women the right to do the kind of job they want and are willing to do.

The advocates for 'equal rights for women', who apparently see nothing wrong with deciding how other women should dress and how much of their 'inherent sexuality can be displayed, can be on show to men.

All of which begs the question: Why, and in whose interest are the 'Track Parade women's employment being dispensed with?

Whose 'rights' are being denied and infringed, and whose is being protected and advanced?

Who are being denied employment opportunities, with less chances of acquiring other supposedly 'more respectful employment?'

As misguided and uninformed politically correct crusade marches on to other industries and employers.

Consequently, Formula 1 no longer employing women to bless their Track Parade, is not really a victory for women's right, women's equality, or more employment opportunities for women.

It is more likely that it is a defeat, and this is likely to be proven to be so, in the course of time.

After all, is not economic and/or financial freedom and independence which is probably the greatest facilitator or enabler of equality for women.

The 'right' or 'privilege' of women being  able to do a job that they enjoy doing, and getting paid a reasonable return for their labour?

Depriving the Formula 1 'Parade Women' of the opportunity of their opportunity to do and earn money from this job, in no way advances the cause of social justice and equality of opportunity for women.

Instead, it falls into the same highly questionable semantics of those elite 'moralists' who argue against 'sex workers' having the right to sell their services, while being accorded the protection which is the 'right' of all workers.

There are times when the real issue ought not to be whether or not a person, woman or man, should be doing a particular job.

But that of whether he/she is being accorded the necessary respect and being rewarded with a fair return for their labour.

This is the difference between 'a slave', an unfree person, and 'a free person', who has the 'right' to determine or choose what work they do.

And so it is, that the women who have been doing the Formula 1 Parade work, and others who are doing similar work - such as in the advertising and film industries - have been discriminated against by both the industry and the elite and misguided 'advocates'  of women's rights.

Any 'victory' which has been 'won' here, is a pyrrhical one; more of a self-inflicted defeat by the same kind of elites who are responsible for placing women in the inferior position they still occupy in society.

Even if, as was probably the case with the ancient male elites who place them there, they might have thought it would benefit women.
