JUST A LITTLE THOUGHT - ON THE ITALIAN ELECTION, AND WHY ITALIAN SHOULD MAKE FIVE STAR MOVEMENT THEIR CHOICE!

It is back to the polls for the Italians, again, as they make another attempt to help their politicians to form a stable government to govern over them. 

And, as they do so, the more astute and concerned among them might well be thinking. What is wrong with Italy and us Italians? Why can we not have a stable and competent government to lead and govern over us? 

The French, the Germans and, yes, the Spanish and Portuguese, even, are doing much better than us; notwithstanding the Catalan issue. 

But not us, not us Italians; why, are we the accursed of Europe? Have we become too well adjusted to scandals, chaos and complacency and fighting amongst ourselves? Have we become fearful of political stability?

Yes, Italians might well be thinking that they have more questions to ask of their politicians and political parties than there are worthwhile answers to be had. 

And, to some extent, that is not really any different to what it is any other European or other country, probably in the world. 

The fact, the sad fact is that the world's electorate have become, to a significant extent, despondent, complacent, alienated and even indifferent to the machinations of the politicians and their political parties. 

Just as how it could be argued, with some justification, that the politicians and the governments they have formed, have become indifferent, despondent and alienated from the views and wishes of the people. 

Except for election time, when they all seek to become the expedient seducer of the electorate. 

Again, making them promises that they either do not intend to keep or are unlikely or will not be able to keep. It is election time that the politicians and their parties will promise the electorate anything and everything. 

'Promise now and make your excuse for not delivering later', seems to be the operative motto.

And now it is the turn of the Italians, with their politicians being confronted with an electorate that have no trust in them. That probably expects little improvements in theirs and Italy's good fortunes after the election on Sunday. 

Some, many of the electorate might be thinking, why should anything change for the better? It it could, if it was possible, would it not have happened already? 

And foremost on their agenda of things they want to see improvements in, might be things such as having secure jobs and wages, having good homes and safe communities to live in.

The removal of the insecurity which is associated with migrants and immigrants who are left to fend for themselves as best they can. 

Drastic reduction in the corruption in public life and in the economic, social and political conditions which can promote fascism.

In short, the Italian electorate is likely to be hoping for a political leader and a new government that is future-oriented, and not one which is backward looking. 

One which would seek to separate or promote the separation of people on the basis their colour, ethnicity, religion and region of the world where they come from. 

But, instead, a leader and government which would mandate itself to mould all people into one, and inspire them to work for a strong, stable and all inclusive Italy.

And so it seems to me, that, discerning and forward looking Italians should consider voting for M5S, for Five Star Movement, and not for the backward looking Berlusconi and his Forza Italia, and the Northern League. 

Italians need to be courageous and bold, by voting for a political party which has committed itself to working with them to realise a better future, and not to vote for political parties and leaders that have a vested interest in maintaining the current status quo.
