JUST A THOUGHT - ON BEING PURSUED BY AND/OR PURSUING TIME. PART 1.

Time, time, time. Oh, time, what art thou, and where forth art thou, we might ask? 

 Time is, it seems, is the length of something of great value. Time is something we sometimes, and how ironic  sounds? 

 But yes, time is something we sometimes do not have enough of, and, at other times, we seem to have too much of. 

 There is an important job, a task to be done, but but we are running out of time, or we simply do not have enough time to complete it.


There is this football match, this cricket match, this baseball or hockey match to be won or lost, but, guess what? 

 Yes, time is running out, and there is not enough time to keep at it and win it.  No, not with only X minutes of the allotted time left to play. Oh, if only we had more time.

 I have read the late great Physicist, Stephen Hawkins' An History of Time, but I might do so, sometime, and if I decide to make the time. 

 And, how can 'time' have any history, when it is, like air, apparently without colour, without smell, without taste?  


And can only be measured indirectly, by calculating age or solidified time of the things, both organic and inorganic, which it has given birth to? 

 Through the process of evolution? A process which the renown Astrophysicist, Neil de grasseTyson, and his collaborators, Seth MacFarlane and others, have awesomely illustrated in their wonderful series, Cosmos - A Spacetime Odyssey.

 Of course, if we care to ponder and even wonder, might we not conclude that time does indeed have different smells, tastes, colours, feel and aura about it. 

 As is reflected in the changing stages of its organic evolutionary creations.

So as to provide a sufficient supply of inmates for the prison population.   As we have seen, for example, in the United States of America.   So, what are my thoughts about Hamas' unprecedented attack on parts of Israel, which has resulted in hundreds of men, women and children, some of them soldiers, being killed and thousands of Israelis becoming shocked and traumatised as they have probably never experienced before? Diplomacy ought to be the process by which nations, through their governments, establish and maintain mutually beneficial and peaceful relationships between them; Diplomacy is not, like the Gulf Cooperation Council members and their allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE states, trying to bully and intimidate Qatar into doing their bidding, by surrendering its sovereignty.  Neither is diplomacy what the American government is doing, in using sanctions to force the governments of states of Iran, Russia and North Korea, into complying with its demands.  About what action they should or should not take in pursuing what they consider to be in the interest of their countries and people.  No, none of this is diplomacy. Rather it is method of force and compulsion, which is not synonymous with principle or practice of diplomacy.  Which is about the art of establishing and maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial relationships between different countries.
