JUST A THOUGHT - ON THE CONTRADICTIONS OF THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST! PART 3.

So it is that, for Christians, the reputed Resurrection of Christ provides them with the promise, the hope of  life everlasting. 

 It cannot be stated any stronger than that, that it is a promise, a hope, albeit, a hope and a promise which might, indeed, is unlikely to be kept. 

 But one which, like their belief, their faith in their God, they either do not need anymore proof than the account of the Gospel. 

 Or they cite the intricacies of all observable things in the universe and multiverses as 'evidence.'


Which is probably just as well, since, the longer Christians and others who subscribe to believing in the Resurrection of Christ, and of life after death.  

 Can put off themselves and others being resurrected, and realising everlasting life, the more staying power the story might have. 

 At least, from a hypothetical, as opposed to from a practical or scientific perspective. 

 Christians, it seems, even if they do at time ponder on the impracticability of a dead person, coming back to life.  


And then being able to ascend up to Heaven, the place where God is believed to reside, do not allow them to reject the story of  Christ's purported death and resurrection.

 Of course, it would be quite logical for Christians to argue that the God, or even that God had enabled Christ, his Son, to ascend upto Heaven.  

 Without freezing in the stratosphere or being burnt to up in the troposphere. 

 That could be accepted as a rationale explanation, for those who believe in an omnipotent God. 

 However, where that explanation or argument would come unstuck, become illogical.

  So, what are my thoughts about Hamas' unprecedented attack on parts of Israel, which has resulted in hundreds of men, women and children, some of them soldiers, being killed and thousands of Israelis becoming shocked and traumatised as they have probably never experienced before? Diplomacy ought to be the process by which nations, through their governments, establish and maintain mutually beneficial and peaceful relationships between them; Diplomacy is not, like the Gulf Cooperation Council members and their allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE states, trying to bully and intimidate Qatar into doing their bidding, by surrendering its sovereignty.  Neither is diplomacy what the American government is doing, in using sanctions to force the governments of states of Iran, Russia and North Korea, into complying with its demands.  About what action they should or should not take in pursuing what they consider to be in the interest of their countries and people.  No, none of this is diplomacy. Rather it is method of force and compulsion, which is not synonymous with principle or practice of diplomacy.  Which is about the art of establishing and maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial relationships between different countries.
