CANADIAN GRAND PRIX - VETTEL, BOTTAS AND VERSTAPPEN MADE IT STICK; HAMILTON SLIPPED! PART 1.

Big Congratulation to Vettel, Bottas and Max and their respective teams Ferrari and Mercedes. For having converted their respective Pole positions to their equivalent P.1, P.2. and P.3 by the end of the 2018Canadian Grand Prix.

Unfortunately for Lewis Hamilton, he was the only odd driver out, having been demoted from P.4 at the beginning of the race, to P5. 

With Daniel Ricciardo having capitalised from Mercedes pitstop strategy for Hamilton not proving to have been a successful one. 

Apparently due to the precision coordination between Team Mercedes, Hamilton and Car 44, not having been precise enough in its execution.

Of course, the lesson which will have been further reinforced by the finishing positions of what was only a marginally less boring race that the Monaco Grand Prix which preceded it.  

Is the fact that, being on Pole, specifically, and being one of the 3 Podiumites during Q3 on Saturdays.  

Barring any adverse interventions from the gods, now seems to be an even greater predictor of the which drivers will be on the Podium at the end of the race itself. 

Playing 'catching up' on race day for any under-performances during Qualifying, is now less of an option for any team, including the Team Mercedes. 

Qualifying has to be treated as if it is the Grand Prix race!

As Vettel and Bottas has once again shown. This is undoubted the result of the competitive edge which Mercedes had previously had over its rivals, having been eroded by the substantial advances they have made in their competitiveness. 

Looking back on Team Mercedes and Hamilton's dominance in previous years, both in Qualifying and in the actual races. 

And comparing it with the fierce competition we are now seeing between Teams Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull.
