JUST A THOUGHT - ON HOW HUNGARY'S CHRISTIANITY AND CIVILISATION HAS NO PLACE IN THE 21ST CENTURY. THE END, FOR NOW!

Considering that, historically, the Muslim Ottoman Empire, and Christian Hungary, have been in conflict, with Hungary succumbing to becoming a part of the Ottoman Empire.

So, it could be argued, Hungary, b. Is only being prudent, and reducing the chances of falling under Islamic rule again. Irrespective of how unlikely and how 'un-Christian' its approach might appear to be.

At the sametime, it is difficult to condone Hungary's, in my view, racist response or reaction to the plight of the migrants and the refugees. 

Sometimes, it is not so much what a country does, but rather how it does it. 

Sometimes a country, which we sometimes wrongly personifies, has to behave in an inhospitable manner, but its leader has the courage and language to explain why it has had to do what it has done. 

Without having to demonise those who have to pay the price of its actions. 

In Viktor Orban's  and Hungary's case, he has gone out of his way to be offensive as well as hostile towards the migrants and the refugees.

Hungary's approach towards the migrants and refugees has not only been one of gross lack of compassion, but it has also, in its attempt to justify its harshness, attempting to turn the whole nation into a xenophobic one. And if that was not bad enough, 

Hungary's government is, it seems, helping to create a dangerous 'axis of evil', with like-minded nations surrounding it. 

How dangerous it is, is clear from the relatively recent wars in the Baltic.  Which were rooted in the success of the demagogues who fed on the still existing ethnic, religious and nationalistic tensions simmering in Europe and other regions of the world.

The more liberal west European democracies, which are leading the EU, and had precipitously rushed in to recruit these smaller former Soviet Union states to the European Union. 

Are now seeing some of them threatening not only the stability of the EU, but its very existence. 

It is now clear that the likes of Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany, and Emmanuel Macron, the President of France. 

Have a massive challenge in calming and transforming the virulent 'anti-migrant panic' which is being stirred up in Europe by the Orbanites and the Salvinistas. 

That the 'rationalists'' only chance of successfully calming the deteriorating situation, and regrouping to defend and promote European unity, stability and security. 

Is that of adopting a strategy of making tactical retreats, concessions, reinforcement and consolidation,  'advances', recouping of lost ground 'advance', ...'

The 'rationalists' resorting to reasoning and logic alone will not do it. Since people, unfortunately, are more motivated to act negatively, by fear of what they are about or could loose.  

Than positively, by the hope and promise of a better life for all, to be had by constructive and mutual cooperation.

The challenge of constructively managing the 'reverse migration, of  peoples from the economically-challenged regions of the world, to Europe and the United States of America.  

Might well have similar profound implications for the latter, as did the migration of people from them, to the former Eldorado-like countries which they had colonised and used to generate much of their wealth. 

However, while Europe and the USA used brutal and uncivilised methods to colonised their former colonies, they should not respond to the challenge of the 'reverse migration', with the brutality and uncivilised methods of the past. 

As that would suggest that Europe and the United States of America, instead of demonstrating healthy civilization, are really  exhibiting its absence or deficiency. Its failure to evolve and advance to new levels.
