MSoL.: Ladies and gentlement, people of the world. I thank you for taking the time to listening to what I have to say.

About this unfortunate event, which, I believe, is only a continuation to a still developing tragic drama being perpetrated on the world.

By the current President of the United States, and his team of like-wise men.

By now, you are probably all aware that President Trump has declared me, in effect, a persona non gratia, and has demanded that I remove myself from the United States of America.




That, if I do not do so, his Homeland Security agents will arrest and detain me, until such time as they deport me, back to my native country; France.

Needless to say, I was terribly surprised by the action of President Trump.

Having made the United States of America my home, and being a resident of Staten Island for over 240 years.

Which is longer than any living non-Native American can claim. You might think that my complacency, in not thinking that this could ever happen to someone like me, is probably forgivable.


After all, have I, the almost sacred Statue of Liberty, not become as, if not more 'American' than the fabled 'American apple pie'?

Am I not the embodiment of the spirit of 'the American Dream?' The Guardian Angel who show and light the way for the world's poor and aspirant people, as the heed the 'sacred inscription on my base?

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”
And now, having lighted the path for tens of millions of the world's poor, I am to be dispensed with. Why?

By increasing the number of statutes by which citizens can be criminalised. So as to provide a sufficient supply of inmates for the prison population.   As we have seen, for example, in the United States of America.
