JUST A THOUGHT - ON THE WEDDING OF MEGAN MARKLE AND PRINCE HARRY, NOW DUKE AND DUCHESS OF SUSSEX! PART 3.

We have got the Robert De Niros, the Serena Williams, the Halle Berrys, the Tina Turners, et al. 

All of whom are or have been in ethnically mixed relationships. 

In fact, as has been indicated by the reconstructed history of the 'Cheddar Gorge Man', any or most contemporary humans trace their ancestry far enough back into our recent evolution, we will find that we are all descended from the same human tree.

But, such is our almost inescapable preoccupation with our 'racial', ethnic and cultural differentiation or diversity. 

With our feelings and beliefs about our and others perceptions of feelings 'racial' and 'ethnic' insecurities and 'inferiority' and 'superiority.' 

That there is, it seems, always submerged tensions between people, just waiting to be vented into open and sometimes violent conflict,

There is a perceived and an actual difference between the male and the female of the human species.  

However, although this perceived and actual difference has come to partly determine role and comparative personal and social status of women, in relation to men. 

It has not resulted in the almost simmer vulcanic state of latent 'racial', ethnic and cultural animosity which exists between people sharing these differences. 

Just waiting for the right combination of factors to convert it into open conflict.

This issue is one which has been around for hundreds of years, and probably will continue for hundreds of years m.ore. 

Ebbing and flowing according to the increasing enlightenment of and advancement of civil society in different countries. 

As racist tribal, cultural and religious orthodoxies are weakened and abandoned.

As far as the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is concerned, the only new or added significance of symbolism, is that we have a non-royal woman of colour marrying a Prince.
