JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON 'KNOWING OURSELVES'; MAKING THE JOURNEY OF! PART 6.

By withdrawing from the world and the people around you?

After all, knowing oneself also requires that person to 'know' how others perceive of and interact with them. 

It requires the person seeking to know themselves, to also 'know of' the selves of them, that others know or believe they know. 

Since 'knowing' is not only a state of ergosumness. It also has to take place in a social milieu, since one cannot fully know him/herself as an isolate. 

Immersed in thoughts and esoteric interactions with the non-human organic and inorganic world.


The 'knowing of ourselves', has to be more than the contemplation, reflections and meditations which occur in our 'minds', our brains. 

It has to be about actively interacting with and experiencing the 'outer worlds', through the prisms of our senses.


Unless the inference is that, the 'self,' which the person seeks to 'know.' Is considered to be no more nor less than what we might call the 'quintessential human or spirit being.'  


Which or who is free standing and probably unchangeable from 'birth' to 'death.' 

Someone or something which is probably unchanging throughout time, and needing no reference point.  

Who is and was and will always be what they/it has always been and will always be. Whether it was in the past, or the present or in the future.

It seems to me that, people who believe that humans who believe or spend time contemplating the possibility of us having a significance outside the realm of the human family, are unlikely to find much traction.
