This, then, is why the President of the United States of America is lecturing the German people.  On the supposed evil of them trading with Russian cooperating with them on industrial infrastructure. 

It is why he is telling them that they should, in effect, treat Russia as an 'enemy of the West', of the German people and nation. 

Never mind the fact that Germany  and Russia have a relationship which goes back hundreds of years. 

Never mind the fact that mistrust and fears are abated and peace is promoted through people and nations trading with each other. 


But, of course it is not the promotion of the reduction of fears and conflict, and the securing of peace and mutual prosperity, which President Trump is concerned with. 

No, it is the opposite. He wants to reinforce and magnify the perception and reality of Russia and the Russian Federation being an, if not 'the archetypal enemy of the West.'  

For stated economic reasons and gain, in his quest to 'make America great again.'

Even though it seems so ironic, that President Trump should be being so 'open and transparent,' in his condemnation of the Russians. Just before his planned meeting with the Russian President, Vladimir Putin. 


Begins the question as to what he intends to discuss with President Putin, having already made it clear that he sees him as the No. 1 enemy of the United States and the West?

Yes, it is all about economic wealth, which is why  the United States and Europe, and Russia and the rest of the world is now in a trade war. 

Which is why the United States and China are engaged in a fierce and seminal trade war. 

 Which, if lost by the United States, is likely, considering that the latter is devoid of any allies in this battle, to see its eclipse as the world's No.1 economic power.

 For Donald Trump, it is really all about making 'the big business deal.' And he is not above confounding and manipulating 'friends and foes', both genuine and perceived ones, to try to get his way. 

 Which is what he is doing with the Europeans, the Russians, the Chinese and the rest of the world.
