JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON WHETHER HUMANS CAN AND SHOULD COMMUNICATE MORE WITH OUR ENVIRONMENT. PART 4.

Why not? Why not, indeed! After all, is our environment any less important to us, and, indeed, the animals with whom we already make friends, for our survival?

Can they survive without the sustenance we all derive from our environment?

Can any of us survive without the crucial herbs and chemicals we use to make the medicine we take, when we are ill?

Can we survive without having the oxygen we breathe to keep our vital organs and bodies going from minute to hours to days to months to years to decades?

Can we survive without keeping the increase of carbon monoxide in check?

Do we, then, need to be able to communicate with and protect our environment, our eco-systems, any less than we need oxygen?

I think us humans definitely need to regain our ability to communicate more persistently with our eco-systems, our environment, and rebuild our relationship with them.

There is this need for us to have a balanced relationship with our eco-systems and environmental milieu.

We should not seek to have the probably extreme relationship which some tradition centred peoples who are more in tune with their environments have.

But neither should we persist in having one which devalues, degrade and oppressively exploit and or neglect our environment and its eco-systems.

There needs to be a balance between the concretisation, glassification and metalisation of the human condition, and our embracing and transformation of our natural and pristine environmental eco-systems.

To be continued!
