JUST A THOUGHT - ON THE APPARENTLY IRRESISTIBLE BUT FATAL RATIONALE OF BRITAIN BREXITING, REGARDLESS OF THE COST. PART 1.

Like a confused deer suddenly suddenly in the blinding headlight of a lorry, awaits its death by being crushed.  

So, it seems, are the people of the United Kingdom awaiting their known uncertain but believed to be fearful Brexited fate.

Like a captive people now condemned to death, by being cast adrift into the torrents of the squalling sea, so are the British people, at least, millions of them, awaiting their Brexitised fate with great trepidation.


Like a disbelieving condemned, but innocent person, awaiting being being 'judicially killed', for a crime he/she did not commit.  

So are the British people being relentlessly drawn to the fearful darkness of the unknown, as their now days of light are replaced with the shadows of the darkness which is to follow.

The United Kingdom and the British people, it seems, are now living out their last days, weeks, months of being members of the community of Europeans. 


They are living out their final days of belongingness. Of being members of the European Union. 

Of observing the principle of being united and staying strong, instead of separating themselves from the EU and, if the axiom should prove to be true, falling by the wayside.

Like a religious people who have fallen for the deceptive ruse which declares that one must die before one can live forever.

   It is unlikely that things were ever getting better.   So, what are my thoughts about Hamas' unprecedented attack on parts of Israel, which has resulted in hundreds of men, women and children, some of them soldiers, being killed and thousands of Israelis becoming shocked and traumatised as they have probably never experienced before?
