JUST A THOUGHT - ON THE PRICE OF LIFE IS DEATH PART 2.

We stood in the car park and reminisced about we have been doing,  times we had spent together and times we had spent with Y. 

And as we reflect on the past, on enjoyable times we have had. Each of us, as it is the nature of humans, was probably also constantly aware of the real reason why we were gathered together at this Crematorium. 

It was not mainly for the ironic pleasure we were having from seeing our relatives, friends and strangers.

At a place where many, if not all of us did not know was there and had not visited. We were there  to 'see off' and say our final goodbye to Y.

Yes, we spent probably about 40 or so minutes waiting around and touching base about our lives, what we are doing now, what we have done in the past and what we aspire to be doing in the future.

And then it was time. Time to enter into the unimposing chapel of the Crematoria, preceded by the relatively small Coffin of Y. 

It was small because Y, even before her body had been emaciated by multiple organ failure weeks before her too early but liberating death, was already a petite woman. 

And so, as we watched her Coffin atop of the dais in the Chapel, fronted by a very alive and beautiful picture of her, we would all have been deep in thought. 

Thoughts such as, 'I hope they have made sure that she is really not alive.' Irrational it might be, but for those of us who had not seen Y for who knows how long before she died, nor after she died, do find ourselves thinking. 

Thoughts about unfinished business regarding strained and estranged relationships. 

Relationship problems which might now not be resolved, but just has to be accepted the way they are.
