IT WAS WRITTEN IN THE STARS - AN ACCOUNT OF LIVES IMPACTED BY 'EVERYDAY ADVERSITIES.' PART 24.

'Like death and bereavement, at times when we are experiencing what seems like 'our worse nightmares.'  We tend not to be aware of the fact that, 'our worse nightmares' are in fact no more than everyday adversities which many other people are having to contend with.'

But they could not win, because there would be the times when he is home and would be making their lives just as miserable, with his aggressive, unreasonable and violent behaviours. 

On too many occasions, his behaviour would lead to physical confrontation between him and parents, and, sometimes, his brother. 

As the latter intervened to defend his dad, Mfanyazaki, from his son’s uncontained rage.

Kazaliwa’s favourate resort, when he was in a rage, would be to head to the kitchen to get a knife. 

This he would do mostly when his intended target was some outside the house. 

As a result, his parents were always concerned to make the cooking knives in the house as scarce as possible, and would try to pre-empt when he was becoming volatile, by removing the larger knives and hiding them. 

Similarly, they would monitor the knives when Kazaliwa was at home and after he went out.

Mfanyazaki remembered the time when Kazaliwa was in a terrible rage with some of his associates.  

Whom he had apparently contacted or been contacted by, about their mobile phones, and made a bee line to get one of the largest kitchen knives from the kitchen. 

No sooner has Mfanyazaki dispossessed his son of the kitchen knife he had armed himself with.  

Than he darted out of the house throught the back door and disappeared.
