ITALIAN ITALIAN GRAND PRIX - HAIL HAMILTON AND TEAM MERCEDES THE MAGNIFICENT. AS LEWIS, KIMI AND VALTTERI PODIUMISED! THE END....

After all, what happens when he loses a race? Should he not be attributing his and his Team's failure to God?

Who, at such times, does not seem great, instead of inferring that he and Team Mercedes has come up short?

If to God the glory when a person, team or people triumph, then, should it not also be to  God the ignominy of their defeat?

In the weighting of drivers and their teams, we need to ask the question: Who is the most important, who is making the biggest contribution towards success or failure?

Is it the driver or the rest of the team?

In answering this question, we might want to consider the status and relevance of the jockey and the horse.

Is one greater or more important than the other? Can the jockey win his races without the input of the horse, or the horse without the stewardship of the jockey?

Neither can the Formula 1 driver, however sublime and masterful his skills and performances.  Realises his driving aspirations and goals, without the equivalent X or Y skills, expertise and performances, with  his Team.

And, of course, the good fortune which is to be had, providing he and his team are geared up to do so, from the intervention of others adverse fate.

Lewis Hamilton has great driving performance skills.

However, the main difference between him and the other great contemporary drivers in Formula 1, is not God or his belief in the 'greatness of God.'

No, it is the performance of Team Mercedes. This we can see from the predicament of Sebastian, Alonso, Kemi, et al.

So, as consummate as Lewis Hamilton is, the fans, the public, Formula 1 and the media, should give more acknowledgement to the Trinity which accounts for the success or failure of Formula 1 drivers and teams.

Namely that of, the Team, the Driver and the Car. The TDC, if you like.

None of which, individually, can realise their optimum achievement, without the others also performing at the top of 'their game.'

So, while Team Mercedes and Hamilton are working together and delivering, it is they who are truly 'the greatest,' and deserving of thanks and praise.

As well as all the other Formula 1 drivers and teams, without whose participation in this sport and entertainment, F.1 racing would not and could not exist.
