JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON WHAT MIGHT BE THE 'TRUE ESSENCE' OF US HUMANS. PART 3.

Our physiology and level of intellectual functioning, and the kinds of relationships we have with other animals.

Well, it might be the case that our physicality, our physical state. Could have some bearing on our 'core', our 'essence.'  

 But it does seem to be the case that they, my core and essence, are more than my physical state. 

I am minded to think of 'myself' as being the sum of my physical state plus. 


Plus something else; probably something of even greater, I might want to think. Definitely what the faithful, the people who believe in the so-called holy scriptures and texts. 

 Those who need to believe that there is life after death, would want us all to believe. 

 But how can I believe in such a fanciful idea? 

 Who would have us, you and everybody, believing that that there are all these disembodied souls of all the now dead folks, since the evolution of modern humans. 



Remaining dormant, or walking or floating around Planet Earth or in the Sky, for all these millenniums? 

 Waiting for a grand reckoning or Judgement Day, for 'God' to come forth and  judge, reward and punish both the living and dead, and transform the Earth into 'heaven'? 

 And, if so, what about all the animals that have ever lived and died; are their disembodied 'spirit' also roaming the earth?

 And will they be 'resurrected' on JD? Most probably, neither of both suppositions can or will occur.

   It is unlikely that things were ever getting better. But, at least the Palestinians were alive, they had their homes, their roads, water, electricity, the basic requirements for having at least a basic life.  They had more freedom of movement in their 'reservations' than they have now, with the storm troopers crawling over and around them as so many wasps.  So, yes, it is likely that, for the majority of Palestinians who are being forced to pay the price the Zionist Israeli State has decided to extract from them, the attack of 7th October might be considered to have been a tactical mistake by Hamas and the other Resistance Fighters.   So, what are my thoughts about Hamas' unprecedented attack on parts of Israel, which has resulted in hundreds of men, women and children, some of them soldiers, being killed and thousands of Israelis becoming shocked and traumatised as they have probably never experienced before?
