JUST A THOUGHT - ON THE ALLEGED MURDER OF JAMAL KHOSHOGGI BY THE SAUDI ARABIAN GOVERNMENT! THE END....?

As, not only is it highly probable that the Saudi government has murdered JK.

But that it has dismembered his body and literally destroyed and/or disposed of it in such a manner that it cannot be present to his family and the world.

Yes, it might really be the case that the life and death of Jamal Khoshoggi, as, indeed are the lives of any other person, or group.

Does not balance the economic scale, when it is weighed against the billions of dollars worth of arms and other products which the Americans are selling to the Saudi government.

Arms which, ironically, are fated to take the lives of thousands of Yemenis, maim thousands more, and make even more destitute.

But it is also about the principles which this crime has violated, and the precedent which it has set.

This brutal act has set the precedent of a country, Saudi Arabia, apparently murdering one its citizen in its diplomatic mission in Turkey.

If it is true that such missions are meant to serve the interests of the country to which they belong, and its citizens.

Then the murder of JK suggests that the Saudi government has concluded that its interests are being served by the murder of one of its citizens; by any means necessary.

And what does it say about Saudi Arabia's attitude towards Turkey, the sovereign nation that is hosting the consulate and its staff? That Saudi Arabia totally disrespects the nation of Turkey?

The least that Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman and his government can to at this late stage, is not to spend or waste time 'investigating what has happened to Jamal Khoshoggi.'

He and his government already know what has happened to this courageous and unfortunate human being.  Who has placed himself in the rank of those who are fighting for the reform of a repressed and oppressed Saudi Arabia.

To attempt to buy time to devise a deceptive explanation of 'what went wrong', is nothing less than the commission of another callous crime.

What CPMBS and his government ought to be doing, is to proclaim their guilt, make appropriate recompense, ask for the forgiveness of JK's family and the people of Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

And, of course, stop the brutal war against the people of Yemen, and remove himself and his government from power, on the basis of not being fit to govern!

Saudi Arabia's relationship with the rest of the world will never be the same again; it will henceforth, at least for a long period of time, become more of a pariah regime.

Fortunate for it, because their is so much 'wrong' with how the government rules the people, and so many aspects of Saudi society which need to be reformed.

There is a great deal of opportunity and scope for the government to make amends and align itself and the country, with the more progressive norms of enlightened countries.
