JUST A THOUGHT - ON HOW 'FAILING COUNTRIES' IN THE AMERICAS CANNOT RESOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS BY RETURNING TO THE 'OLD WAYS.' PART 2.

Countries which, over time, were abandoned, 'liberated by their resident 'colonists', and 'given their independence' by their former colonial masters on Continental Europe.  

When it was no longer profitable or expedient for them to hold onto them? Yes? There is much evidence to sustain that conclusion.

The countries of the Americas and the West Indies, therefore, are all countries which have suffered massive violence and injustices. 

Done to their indigenous peoples, and the Africans, poor Europeans and other nationals who were brought in to repopulate them and make them into wealth creating product units.

They are not countries which were colonised on any altruistic principles. 

They were transformed in order to make money and create massive wealth for the European colonisers and the financiers and money lenders who invested in the venture.

The veins which run through many, if not all of these countries, are the same divisive, conflicted and confused ones on which they were built. 

These countries are still functioning with a confused identity. Are they European? 

Are their citizens white, black, indigenous natives, or the dozens of shades and mixtures of races which the Spanish have, with great fastidiousness, cursed its former colonies with? 

Do they really have any shared, common identity as to who they are; Brazilians, Mexicans, Hondurans, Guatemalans, Colombians, Argentinians, Venezuelans, Peruvians, et al? 

Or is it still the case that too many of them see themselves as the 'bastard or abandoned offspring' of their former 'European mother countries.'
